I have decided to get “with it” and start up a personal blog with the primary goal of educating people, like myself, who are new to PHP programming and MySQL database management, especially in the area of game development.
So, here I am, and here it is! I am thoroughly excited. It is also meant to serve as a place to catalogue my YouTube tutorials (the first one in the making now) and allow discussion of different topics here on the website.
A little about me: I am not a full-time programmer or database specialist. I am not even in the IT department where I work. I simply love technology, and I love developing new software. There are few people who know that special feeling of accomplishment when you make something from scratch and can say, “Look what I did!” Few people know how making a complex series of code work, after long, arduous attempts, many late nights, and several cans of soda really makes you feel.
Of course, I could just be a nerd.
But, that’s okay, too. The older you get, the more “nerdyness” becomes accepted and actually useful. Anyway, I have to get to work on my first YouTube tutorial before my wife gets home.
